Lately I've been sleeping in
Til the evening;
And the only vitamin D I receive
is what comes in
through the curtains.
I want to go back home
To visit the Appalachians;
But I can't enjoy the mountains
When they're just a vacation.
I got myself a run down Volkswagen
And work at Mundy Mill on the weekends.
But I'm always low on cash.
No matter how much I doordash.
I worry that I'm going to mentally
Or physically crash.
I'm bedridden, anxiety stricken,
And can't pay attention
long enough to finish something.
Im procrastinating
my redemption.
Even this poem is bed written;
'Cause leaving the apartment
Still does nothing for my inspiration.
I guess I miss hiking, traveling,
And a spark for something.
I see others mountain climbing,
Scuba, and sky diving.
Suppose I can't be mad
at butterfly wings for flying.
I just wish I had my own set of them;
Instead of staying in bed dreaming.
