Being dysfunctional

She's young and wild and needs to be tamed.
She's been through too much as a child, going back nothing has changed.
She loves her family but not in the same way a normal family would love theirs.

Her mom and dad are dysfunctional people, which now she understands, now she does care.
As a child she never understood, she would laugh at them, when they were near.
She would make fun of them, laugh and stare.
They tried their best of what they knew, how to do.
It wasn't enough to save this child from being taken away, that's true.

Today, this child of almost 15 years old, has much more respect for them because, now she understands.
No one is to blame for this mess.
Being dysfunctional of course you need a helping hand.
Everyone who did their part has had to confess.
No one is to blame, they did their parts in life but sometimes nothing comes out right.
As we get older, we sometimes mature, sometimes we get wiser.
Or sometimes we do the same mistakes all over again.
