I'm not afraid to say I truly love God,
I completely trust His will.
Uncountable times I've seen people,
Sick or suffering, through prayer, He'd heal.
I know He's always listening,
And, He is ever close.
When unsure what to pray for another,
He'll faithfully diagnose.
I love watching Him while He works,
No words describe how amazing.
Meeting everyone in the middle He worked around,
By His power has them all praising.
There's reason why I've always said,
That love is not a switch,
They'll never be a time He doesn't love you,
Because, He is the very definition of it.
He won't turn it on, then turn it off.
No matter what you have done.
His love is the power that will absolutely,
Drop everyone to their knees confessing with their tongue.
I remember trying to read His word,
I'd try but couldn't understand.
Even then I would still talk to Him,
Cause, I knew He was my friend.
Frustrated, I cried for Him,
To open my mind and help me see.
To be able to understand His words,
And, teach my kids in His truth adequately.
As I'd read, His Holy Spirit,
Would help teach me.
To be able to pass it on,
To my kids as promised faithfully.
I love Him for who He is,
And, everything He stands for.
Even when He is correcting me,
My soul longs for Him even more.
I always try to be honest,
So I must confess, in truth.
I'm God's bratty daughter,
Since way back in my youth.
The things I'm about to tell you,
Staying in His word helped me fight.
By leaning on Him through our weakness,
His power shines perfectly in our sight.
There's been times I felt like,
I just couldn't take it anymore.
Times I've felt like He's left me,
Trying to even up some imaginary score.
I've suffered abuse on different levels,
Let depression fill my head,
I thought I wasn't good enough,
To even climb out of my bed.
Far too long I was an addict,
To both the weaker and strongest meds.
Unrecognizable, and with no way to escape,
All the pain waiting in each day ahead.
The list goes on and on,
Of innumerable times I've failed.
Even to this very day,
But, I'm not ashamed to tell.
God saved me from my addiction,
A bad marriage, and emotions I engaged.
He kept me safe, being the ONLY key,
That unlocked me from my cage.
He helped me to learn forgiveness,
How to pray for others, and do my part.
He showed me such wonderful promise,
By spirit, in dreams forever in my heart.
I know I don't deserve Him,
He showed me our burdens are not a bother.
He wants to help and save us all,
By His loving grace as our Father.
As His witness, this is my testimony,
You ALL are preciously beloved.
All it takes is for you to believe,
To know His radiance up above.
We could never repay Him for giving His life,
In His forgiveness, I'll never be ashamed.
I'll always be truly thankful,
And, Love Jesus' Holy name.
