Beluna Alley,
All shabby, dirty and tacky,
The darkest and most silent, I chose the route,
Amidst all the gloom, never thought of a detour.
Creeps lurking around,
Eyebrows absent, shaved, skin scarred brown,
Garbage lay scattered, dogs gathered,
Feeding on the dead rats, left me disgusted to the bone.
Horrifying were the walls of the narrow lane,
People around barking with cusses had literally no shame,
Covered with 'wanted' posters, prize money everyone could redeem,
Nail scratches making me wonder about the earlier decade scene.
Wanted to get out of there now,
The place creeped me out,
Happiness sucked out of my soul,
I wish out of there, I could just bolt.
Thunder and rain didn't quite help me,
Worries and concerns formed clouds in my head,
Wish it was nectar, easily then sucked by a little bee,
Negativity found its home in me, there and then, made a thread.
I'm halfway through there right now,
Past the bakery and smoky wine shop,
Fog and mist, cat eyes beaming, funky people, foul breaths,
Giving me headaches and visions of my different deaths
All of it I ignored,
Never would I ever visit anywhere just because I am bored.
I learnt my lesson,
My enthusiasm it certainly did lessen,
Walked away once I saw the light, gladly,
Friends,
This was Beluna Alley.
