Every day when we turn on the television, we see shows and films that portray men trying to prove themselves to a woman. TV shows like "Martin," " All In The Family," and "My Wife and Kids." Those shows portray beta males. Even the Lifetime movies display men proving themselves to a woman saying that they love them. When they break up with a woman, they tend to stand at her doorstep with flowers and candy. They also sing to that woman knowing that their voices sound terrible. They do not know what they would do without the woman. This line always gets me when men in films say, "I will break my neck for you, I will die for you." That is what they always portray in movies. Watching a lot of romantic and drama films growing up, I used to think that a man supposed to portray himself like that in reality. I used to think that a man was supposed to pour his heart out to a woman and be around her all the time. I even thought it was good for a man to put that woman first before anything. That is what we see every day when we turn to a movie channel or a TV show. That is all fantasy.
Those are beta males. Beta males pour their hearts out to a woman. Beta males provide for that woman. Beta males are viewed as weak. As a woman who is walking with God, and understanding the wisdom of how relationships should be. It can not be all about that woman in the relationship. That is why men should focus more on their purpose and passions of what they want to do in life. Keep writing poetry, keep writing books, keep creating artwork, keep working and making money. That is what life is all about. Put God first, and put your goals first as well. That woman you are with comes later. Men need their space as much as women do. I need my space every day from my boyfriend. I do not like being around him all the time
When a man first meets a woman, he may become friends with that woman for a while. When that man starts falling in love with that woman, it becomes more than just friendship. That man starts to put that woman on a pedestal. That man can not let go of that woman. He always needs to be around that woman, and that becomes an attachment. That woman can become tiresome of that. My boyfriend used to be a beta male. He used to always pour his heart out to me. He will buy me things to prove himself to me. Now, he knows not to do that anymore because I do not like that. Men do not have to prove themselves to a woman. When you start to prove yourself to a woman, that woman will view you as a weak man, and she will run all over you. How I know that? Is because I used to run all over my boyfriend in the past when he was a beta male. He was a weak man, and I had taken advantage of him. I used to beg him for money and not just with him, there were a lot of other men I had taken advantage of as well. That was why I used to cheat a lot on my boyfriend because he was weak. He did not stand up for me.
Now, he is an alpha male. Alpha males do not let women manipulate them or use them. Men have to put their foot down with women just like women put their foot down with men. When that man is disrespecting that woman, that woman will stand up for herself not letting a man run all over her. Men should do the same as well. I do not want a beta male, I want an alpha male that knows that he can focus more on his purpose and goals instead of being focused on me.
