Better Days

I have seen people cry
I noticed people hurt
Striving for a better life, putting in work
I was on the same grind putting in overtime
Working without God equals no peace of mind
I was lonely, depressed, living miserable
I broke away from the church to become invisible
I have seen better days, I have seen better nights
Me, myself, and I will be alright...
I told myself those lies to get by
but deep down inside all I did was cry
I flirted with suicide, no pain if I died
I have seen better days, I have seen better nights
Darkness shaded my eyes to blind me from the light
my soul erupted with pain that I could not contain
I traveled hopeless roads that led to many dead ends
The journey was lonely, but God saw me through
He is the light in the dark
when no one else comes through
When the world lets you down
He will lift you
Rely on God, not worldly devices
take a look at the sacrifice
Nothing can sub or replace God's love,
Without God
There is No Better Days
