Between the words
If only you knew
How often I carry your name
Like a fragile stone
At the bottom of my throat.
Always there,
Never spoken.
I do not love you loudly.
I love you in the spaces
Between the words I don’t say,
In the glances I steal
And the pages I write.
I love you with the ache
Of something too vast to be held,
Too sacred to be shared,
Too impossible to stop.
But still,
I love.
