I sit feet dangled from bed staring up at fan
Spliff hanging carelessly from lips
Gaze focused on a picture of her in my phone
She wore a red dress and simple hair
And she was smiling beautifully
And the caption said something about pain
And it made me guilty because she loved me so hard
And I'd hurt her so often
A tear escapes the lids and scramble to my cheek
But then a smile laps them away And reminds me that I love her...And that I was but a man but I needed to love her regardless of anything
