He said, baby we need to talk
Can we go for a walk
She said, baby I'd love that
But I can't really chat
Can we make it another day
He said that's okay
Next three days he didn't call
She thought to herself, that's odd
This is not like him at all
I wander what can be the hold
Or maybe he's just mad
For what I've said
She rang his number once
But the voicemail announced
Hi this is John Donahue
You know what to do
She said, honey where are you
Call me coz I miss you
Days turned into ten years
Divorced with two kids now
Sometimes she wipe her tears
So her soul do not overflow
Happiness vanished away
Like John on that day
She knew what happiness was
Now all she bear is scars
If only she took that walk
Or listened as he wanted to talk
Ten years down the line
And she's still not fine
Night after night she waited
Hoping he would return
Now she is a divorcee, taunted
By the sad news she learned
John never got home that day
He was hit by a bullet stray
Guilt has overwhelmed her
Memories turns into pain
She knew she lost forever
And tears began to rain
If only she could go back
But now her world turned black
