Black Is Human

The old ways of my land,
and Oracle's of my den
sometimes draw me to see;
the true rules of my land,
unchallenged they rule,unabated they decide;
on where to sway my stand.
In awe I stand,as I am being led by forces great than I am,
and Lords mightier than myself.
who will change my mind,
make me realise I'm human too,
despite colour.
like fishes in troubled waters,
I wander around in darkness,
for darkness erodes me;
and fear grips me.
for when I walk without people like me,
around me; I fear extinction, death,why?
the Oracle's of my land are like shadows of what I do
which I cannot catch.
like in ancient times,
where much fear of the predators;
grips the hearts of many,
I wander around,
fearless I dare all odds,
I determine to succeed
and I'm met with success,
for the Oracles of my land;
acknowledges my stand.
l stay ahead with the blessings of ancient times,
for they are as Powerful as the predators of my realm
and a shoulder to lean on,
against the discriminations in my land,
for I am black, I am strong,
I am AFRICAN.
