Black Pit

My heavy heart limps from the ache
It carries on lifting as it carries it away
I look to my left, and I see their screams
I hold them and whisper to them all the memories
The people around do just as I did
Until I'm the one shoved in the black pit
I never told and never tell
But my heavy heart aches to much, from the silent cries and the worthless touch
So I sit in silence as I let them silently yell
I turn and tell for the first time since it all went to Hell
But apparently my cries are too cheap
Too quite, too small, not enough for them to speak
I look to my left, to the friend who dropped a pen
And watch as they run to hold and caress
The one that cries apparently drown out mine
I feel as though I've just been left to die
I grab my heavy heart and squeeze out the ache
The cries are silent, yet I watch my eyes turn floors into lakes
I wish my arms were the arms of others
I wish someone cared enough to save me from this shudder
I wipe my eyes from this feeling that sticks
Why am I always the one left in the black pit?
