O

Blazing Fire

Looking back on days past
The dreams we shared the hopes we had
Just like spells that witches cast,
It seemed as though, were meant to last.
I followed you through icy fields
Your house of shards, these hands would build.
No gods nor kings could gaze nor touch
Your beating heart my hands they clutched.
The world forever would soon be shown.
The soul that's mine, the skin I own.
A girl no longer, a woman grown
Our sins of passion, un-atoned.
Yet, the love we shared more than just
Youthful dalliance, and mindless lust.
A thousand years could pass us by
‌Your soul from mine no man could pry.
But blind was I, like easy prey
To truths I learned in this world of gray However vast the joy may be
Misery shall have its day;
For heathens lurk at every turn
Waiting just to watch you squirm.
And so I lay my body bare
As all the heathens sit polite, and stare
No last goodbye or thoughts to spare
Alone and lost you left me there
My friend, my love and first desire
Cast me down to a blazing fire.
But fret not my love, for this I swear
Where once the love between us lie
Brighter than the stars and sky,
Which shone so brightly the brightness died,
Is now no more than an empty pyre.
No regrets, no sorrow, nor passing ire
Or even nightmares of events transpired.
For my hate alone cannot dissever
My only friend and last desire.
