I sometimes wonder what is family
we know that without a mom and dad
we would never have happened
but that's what I'd like to question
just because you made me
and your blood runs threw my veins
does not make you real family
nothing more than a sperm donner and incubator.
it may seem harsh and cold of me to say
but before you judge look at it my way
a child is a blessing a gift from god
we do not mistreat them or even discard
I've come to learn that family is more than just blood
its so much more... blood sometimes is not thicker that water
sometimes our true family is the ones we make for ourselves
