Walking in the dark
The frozen breath of death
Blowing on the back of my neck!
Ice cold chills
Running down my tangled spine
Footsteps?
Who's there?
I call sounding as though a swarm of sick dogs
You could tell that I am really scared
My boyfriend was breathing
Not on his own but with a respirator
You could hear the beeping of the respirator
It was his time once flat
He would never speak again
He would be as silent as death!
I walked into his room
And sat down on his bed
He sensed my presence
And opened his eyes
Blue, Bright, and Soothing
Of sweet things yet to come
His hair Black,
but the ocean streaks
told of his love for the ocean blue
He scooted over on the bed
And helped me up
There we sat old friends talking
Just the way we use to
We fell asleep close
I woke up to the flatline tone
And people in the room
I started crying
That's when I saw the rings
Shakespeare's love sonnet was on my finger
While the snow queen wan on my shock collar
Then I looked over the window
Where the beach was near
I saw three roses
One which was pure white
Then a pure dark red
And one that made me sad
A pure black rose
On the black rose
There was a fifty four page letter
In his beautiful letter
He told of the rings
And the roses
And about us
The day that he died
My heart did too
Then one day
Shortly two days after I vowed never to love again
My lips are frozen from the love
That Andrew Raley and I shared
One day after this vow
A new boy came into our school
For about two weeks
He was silent
Then came all the pressure
He tried kissing me
Hell no!!!
That is never going to happen
I had a rose in my hand
It was black
The new boy had a knife in his hand
And threatened me
When he had me in hold
He took my black rose
And slit his throat
Blood was gushing out of his neck
I tried stopping the flow of the blood with the rose
I left the rose there
Next to his body
With the knife
I cradled my arm
And let the blood run freely
Nobody could find the murder
All they seem to remember is
The Silent Of The Bloody Black Rose!
