Books

Books are full of words,
Often strange things,
Often meaningless curds,
And often useful dreams.
Books about life,
Books about dying,
Books about Joy,
Books about crying.
Meaningful words put together,
Knowledge to the mind is tethered,
By helpful sentences written in prose,
Covered in Poetic clothes.
Yet sadly some books are full of lies,
Children's laughter turned to cries,
Horrors of life on tearstained pages,
Where hope is all but trapped in cages.
This is the power of writing,
This is how lives are affected . . .
Choose wisely what you read,
For your mind could blindingly become infected.
