Boot Fair

A monk was drunk, and in his trunk,
A monkey, had the monk;
The cop that stopped the drunken monk
Said, "open up your trunk;"
The monk said he had swallowed the key,
The cop said that was bunk:
"A trunk key in a drunk monk, and
A monkey in the trunk?"
No Englishman will ever think
This poem is a hoot,
For, "drunk" and, "monk" no matter
How you try, won't rhyme with, "boot.'
