Borrowed Smile...
I'm home now, or so it seems,
I've walked around this hall,
the rooms several times,
and yet the warmth I once had
has turned into cold somehow,
As if the golden sunrays
have turned to the ashes and now...
Now all I feel is a void,
An empty space where sorrow blooms,
Watered and fed by the very demons
That thrive in my own mind,
Where happiness chooses to lose its shine
And hide in the darkness forever,
Because I've memorized
the smile on my face,
The way it feels in the curve of my lips,
Like they hold an unbearable weight,
Like an isolated cloud filled with rain,
Like a storm is about to break,
And here I am... pretending,
Wearing joy as my armour
to hold my demons in,
For I'd rather stay in darkness
Instead of dragging others along,
I'd hold my fears in silence,
And my heart, steady and strong,
As long as I'm not the reason they bleed,
I'd go down even more happily...
