The night whispers fears I dare not speak,
Shadows press heavy, my lungs grow weak.
I close my eyes, yet I am awake,
Fighting for air that the dark wants to take.
I do not cry, I do not complain,
I swallow the fear, I silence the pain.
But oh, how it haunts me, this cruel unseen,
A thief in the night where no one has been.
I pray to the stars, to the soft morning light,
Let me wake up—let me win this fight.
I will not break, though my chest may burn,
Though the breath of the night twists and turns.
I am here, I am strong, I will rise once more,
For the fire in me will endure.
