Frail as a porcelain doll
With my face painted up
I try and be strong
But am oh so fragile
For now, all my cracks, healed
As I role play perfectly
Feeling like a real boy, and not a toy
A heart, a child's play thing
An instrument to be played
Not locked away
Never to make sweet music
At the hands of an emotional musician
I am your inanimate object today
Trying not to try
For that is when I slip and fall
Cracking my porcelain body
For today I am
Whatever it means to be
To live and breath for you
Because that is what is good and right
And this I know, just being a toy
For the time being
I am ok, I painted this face
Don't worry about the broken smile
