"Broken Heart, Healed by Poetry"

I am depressed, my heart in disarray,
She rejected me, and cast me away.
Humiliated, I stand here in shame,
I didn't expect this from her, I thought she felt the same.
She made me look like a fool, in front of all,
My reputation tarnished, my spirit small.
But I am an international poet, known far and wide,
My words have moved hearts, and filled many with pride.
Yet here I am, broken and alone,
Wondering why I ever picked up the phone.
To confess my love, to tell her how I feel,
Only to heartbreak, this raw deal.
My heart is heavy, my soul is weary,
The pain of rejection, so sharp and dreary.
I thought she was the one, my soulmate true,
But now I see, my hopes were all askew.
The rejection stings, it cuts me deep,
Leaving me here, to wallow and weep.
But I must remind myself, of who I am,
An artist of words, a master of the slam.
I may be rejected, but my talent still shines,
My words will heal, and make hearts align.
I'll take this pain, and turn it to art,
Using my craft, to soothe my broken heart.
So here's to love, and all its glory,
Even if it ends in a tragic story.
I'll rise again, like a phoenix from the flame,
With a pen in my hand, and poetry as my name.
