Broken Promises
Ohhh such happiness
Marriage is what l wanted
To settle down
To have a beautiful family
A home that was warm
Welcoming home to family and friends too
Wedding day finally arrives
Am all dressed up in the best Wedding dress
Adorned in Gold Ornaments
A beautiful Red Wedding dress
Sadness engulfed me
Leaving my Father's home
Going to the unknown
Would l ever mix with my in-laws
Tears gushing down my Cheeks
Dear Dad, mom and my siblings
I would leave all that
Yess...Just for a Man
Time seemed to be running
Time for the marriage vows
Ohh ...where is the Groom...!?
He never made an appearance
Here l was awaiting his arrival
He jilted me on my Wedding day
I lived with fake promises
That were never to be
