Fences may be tall and strong,
But a table's where love belongs,
A place for laughter, joy and peace,
Where all can come and find release.
It's better to be kind and fair,
To welcome others everywhere,
To share your wealth and break bread,
And let love and kindness be spread.
For when we build a table wide,
And sit and share with all beside,
We find that life is good and sweet,
And all our troubles feel complete.
So let us build a table long,
And invite all to come along,
For in its warmth and gentle glow,
We'll find a brighter tomorrow.
For when we live in love and grace,
And share our blessings face to face,
We'll see that we are truly blessed,
And build a world that's truly best.
