Buried Emotions

The night was chilly
One thing did struck me
Oddly satisfying at that moment
It had the right shade of black
Black, the dark beauty
Bizarrely beautiful I thought to myself
To hypnotize with ultimate darkness
This was indeed all I needed
The unravelling, peculiar silence
Starry skies out of my reach
Better yet still having
The stars wink at me gleefully
Hmm, Mother Nature’s
Way of letting me know that
All which was astronomical
Was in good hands, her hands
The gentle breeze danced my way
Yet stopped to caress my body
Like a passionate lover
Craving that deep connection
Chills took a short route down
My back and then they came
Buried emotions, masters of stealth mode
Rising from their graves, with no hustle
There are those who embraced with profound
Warmth that smoothly radiated within me
Making me feel like a long lost child
Finally reunited with her beloved
Then we have the ‘others’ as well
Now, they are cruel, real cruel I tell you
They either left me in despair
Or extreme anguish in having to not surrender
To their assassins of endearing thoughts
It can be a devastating mess, when both
Decide to knock on my mind’s door
Usually unannounced most times
Visitors? Yeah, they sure are
But only one becomes my mind’s
Life long, comforting companion
The other just has to go
And to that, the moon agreed
Shining a little more brighter than before
