Burning Incense
Burning Incense
Burning Incense
in this instance
You remind me of myself.
Just as the treasures in sand hiding are shells,
Your pleasure's inside, from fire, Your smell.
Flames watered You from which a red flower grew;
Continuously shedding leaves for an hour or two.
The fruit of which I devoured in through
my nostrils
brought thrills that caught chills
with a look frosted,
on a higher plateau...
Caught from the blossom
by the flower that grew...
Lost in its essence tossing round S's,
majestically resting, while towering through;
As if whispering blessings empowering you.
The Smoke is my soul,
the Ash is my death,
the Spark is my life from which I now take a breath.
The Incense is my body, or what is now left...
And after It is gone I leave you My Scent.
