Nails bite into my hand
Family laughing
Beating my ego
There it goes again
A stifled laugh
A fake smile
Is this my life
Ive changed they say
They liked the old me better
So looks like these past months
Weren't only fake for me
Maybe im learning
Fake is just that
Smiles arent contagious
It was the people around you that did that
These "meaningful' conversations
Are just me holding my breath
Stop stroking my ego
After beating it so bad
Thats like a doctor beating his wife
Its does not make sense
You blame me for changing
Blame me for not smiling
How about instead of kicking my ego
You notice all the hints
That have been sitting right there
And i know you can see them
Because i've pointed them out!
