Sitting on the bank of the chilly cold river,
you could smell the mist an fog lingering in the air seemingly so clean, calm an clear,
as I strike a match and fire burns the sulfur smoke then flame,
I got coffee going on,
I had said ,
then from the tent were we had laid,
resided a woman who's coffee cannot be a second late,
As I set there rigging my pole to bait ,
I seen out my parenthetical ,
my beautiful poor thang cant find her sandal shed misplaced ,
so I gestured with my finger
she came back with ,
coffee ant ready no thanks anywere,
first thought we ant doing this
we ant haven a duel,
stay calm it's at boil
so grab the cups sit calm
ima cast this line out one time
brought back that cast with a spectacular brown trout
then surprise I hear from my beautiful ladies mouth,
she said today is your day ,happy Father's Day,
I could only stare then said bay the words you just had said and this fish make for a blessed day at a perfect time,
as the river shows wyte caps going swiftly by,
we sat inside our tent as we giggled so hard we cried,
good times an love we had more as time moved forward,
night took over an stars filled sky ,
smells of smoke from the camp fire we had dieing down outside
a feeling of love lingered as the eyes started closeing,
she grabs ahold calmness no fear.
whippers out your my person
I said I love you get some rest for the early morning dear.
