Can a man who is free in his mind, be confined?
In bars of steel and stone, so strict and unkind?
Can his thoughts and his dreams, be trapped in one place?
Or will he still soar, with grace and with grace?
For the mind is a prison, that's greater than bars,
And the chains of our thoughts, can often leave scars.
But a man who's at peace, in the depths of his soul,
Will never be captive, and never be whole.
For a free mind, is a gift, that's beyond all compare,
And the beauty of life, is found everywhere.
So even in prison, a man can still roam,
Through the landscapes of his mind, and make them his home.
And the bars that surround him, cannot hold him back,
For his spirit remains free, and his spirit will lack.
For he'll soar to the heavens, and swim in the sea,
And explore all the wonders, that the world has to see.
So can a man who is free in his mind, be confined?
In bars of steel and stone, so strict and unkind?
The answer is clear, that he cannot be trapped,
For his spirit remains free, and it never will be snapped.
