Hey nature,
Here I lie, lifeless behind bricked walls
Surrounded by polished furniture.
I wonder, could you heal me
With your cool breeze
And the strength of deep-rooted trees?
Perhaps through your gentle floral touch,
Or the calm of cascading waterfalls?
And if not those, then maybe
Just an open field,
Where I can breathe air that whispers freedom.
Can those mountains soothe this wound of domination,
Or will this longing always remain
A part of my imagination?
