Canine love

A divine soul, a dog like no other

A true, loyal friend beyond friend

Enduring ups and downs together

He was definitely by heaven sent

A canine so gentle and caring

He was always at my feet to lay

Wherever I moved, he was close

Nearby, and never that far away

I took him to the local park often

To include and play sports games

He seemed to like the football alot

For him something that entertains

Baseball and basketball were two

Other ones that I gladly let him try

The baseball hit too fast to catch

The basketball was simply too wide

Football he played defense naturally

When the quarterback tried to throw

The football past him at any time

He'd jump and stop it with his nose

Mostly he enjoyed his green frisbee

He would run and chase it all day

Bringing it back just within grasp

Pulling it away as I reach, thinking " let's play"

I miss this guy dearly, I miss him greatly

A terrible day when we said our goodbyes

He left on the doggy train to heaven

I will never forget his sad brown eyes
