The Merry-Go Round of horses and laughter filled her ears, as her brother walked beside her. He stopped at the ticket booth, watching with wonder as the lady handed us our bands! I skipped around him, my six year skipping tournament coming to a stop. He stood at the gate all to unamused.
Around and around till he couldn't handle it anymore. Bounds and leaps of age he commanded authority. I drooped my head as I followed him, walking past, friends to old for my energy came crashing with laughter.
Standing alone, I seldom cried anymore, he was happy. His blonde hair letting me know I'm not lost, happy browns turned sour when he saw me.
With anger unwarranted, I fled, tears soaking my rainbow sky high happiness. I ran as far and as fast as I could, blurred vision, I ran into something warm. Wiping my tears away, I looked at the boy.
Years of street living, I could never find the same happiness. Rome was a home so unlike my old one. I cherished those new memories, now eighteen, I wonders, now finally surfacing.
Casey hardened with anger he wished he could fix. He still remember his blue eyed sister. Years of flyers unturned turning him bitter.
Roaming the cafes for stardust fruit, I happened to glimpse a familiar brown haired guy made old. Sleuthing, made a necessity, I followed.
Winding and weaving led to a glass building. Hesitation in my steps, only gone when I pushed through!
To my astonishment he was facing me as I came through. A look of familiarity crossing his face, after hours, years and a phone call, now standing before me.
Heart-felt words and tears corrected, I had my family. Shortly later, an added brother and a memory made right.
