Money, a ubiquitous medium of exchange,
A currency that, in our society, holds such range,
It enables us to procure comfort, food, and attire,
And sometimes, it provides contentment that we admire.
It is the "fons et origo" of all evil, as they say,
Yet, it is an indispensably vital element of our day,
It is an instrumentality, a necessary adjunct,
That aids us to navigate life's tumultuous current.
Money can engender felicity or agony,
It can be the key to attain an opulent destiny,
However, the excessive accumulation of wealth,
May lead us to forgo love, kindness, and mental health.
We incessantly pursue it and hoard it, oft to excess
Neglecting to appreciate the blessings that we possess,
Nevertheless, money can also serve as a virtuous tool,
If we deploy it judiciously, to alleviate others' gruel.
Hence, let us be appreciative for what we possess,
And utilize it prudently, to aid those who suffer distress,
For in the end, it is not the extent of our accumulation,
But the generosity we exhibit that merits adulation.
