Heavy burdens worn with age,
Weighed down by life's final stage.
A somber procession, no sound,
As time lays loved ones in the ground.
Tired steps, aching heart and soul,
Each casket taking its toll.
Memories held, now left to fade,
As tears fall for the lives that were made.
You bear the weight of final rest,
A task that none would ever request.
A solemn duty till the end,
As you bid farewell to every friend.
