caught in between

They say love blinds men, but I'll search for the signs so clear,
For it's not a flaw, just an opportunity to refine,
I won't let her hide the clues, I'll navigate without fear,
Because she's more than a friend, she's a love that's divine.
Her perpetual calm, her voice a soothing breeze,
Innocence graces her face, her words captivating,
An introvert and extrovert, she's a puzzle to please,
And her ethereal beauty, forever fascinating.
But maybe it's not just in my head, not a mere illusion,
Maybe she's by my side for reasons unexplained,
Within me, a feeling stirs, a soul's sweet confusion,
And if love were to bloom, our friendship won't be strained.
I'm caught in between, unsure of her heart's desires,
But maybe she sees something in me worth embracing,
A lonely boy lifted higher, our souls set on fire,
Love's elusive embrace, no longer erasing.
But what do I really know? Is love more than a dream?
Can it conquer every strife, as stories would imply?
Can souls intertwine, fulfilling a divine scheme,
Love's puzzle, I'll solve as the days pass me by.
What am I doing? Maybe she can love me too,
I won't ruin what we have, my heart won't betray,
Love's mysteries I'll explore, my ignorance I'll undo,
For I won't hurt her by not embracing love's display.
