In the depths of my soul, solitude resides,
Though I've tried to blend, disappointment resides.
Learning to embrace my own company,
I find solace in the joy I have, unconditionally.
A hopeless romantic, believing in love's magic,
Dreams of fairy tales, sentiments so nostalgic.
With rose-colored glasses, I see love as an art,
Romantic gestures, captivating every heart.
There comes a time when a boy becomes a man,
Realizing no one will lend a helping hand.
Some remain children, lost forever,
Yet others find strength, endeavor after endeavor.
"Don't cross oceans for those who won't for you,"
A wise advice, spoken by a few.
But another voice arose, defending with care,
"Do it. Cross oceans, love all, show them you're there."
Life's not a roadmap etched in stone,
Societal expectations, expectations unknown.
It's a journey with detours, paths intertwine,
And different desires make life's tapestry shine.
Let's not pressure or shame those who struggle,
Who deviate from norms, their choices may juggle.
Comparison breeds discontent and despair,
Create your own map, write a story that's rare.
A smile, even a fake one, can uplift your soul,
Emotional pain leaves scars, deeper than we know.
Let's cultivate compassion, extend a helping hand,
For in love and life, it's the giving, not the gain.
