I sit and watch two kids play and amazed by how their imagination takes them to different worlds. I try hard to remember the things I saw when I played with my sibling. For it's been so long ago since I had imagine such things. As a child you can create your own world and be lost for hours exploring the depths of this place you created. So many things can come to life and you can be anything you please. You can shapeshift to any object, animal, or person to your heart's desire and dream about this place as you slumber. To dance on snow flurries and hop to the next one before it gently touches the ground. To lay underneath the Christmas tree and daydream of climbing the limbs seeing your reflection in Christmas decorations. Seeing the lights up close feeling the warmth radiating from it watching them dancing along the tips of the limbs as they spiral all the way to the top. Your eyes follow the colorful lights all the way to the top as they meet an angel there with it's arms stretched out as if it was waiting for someone to embrace it. You follow the lights towards the angel meeting new characters along the way. A friendly nutcracker, a dangling gleaming present dangling from one of the branches so curious as to what may be hidden inside, a pinecone with smell of apple and cinnamon kissing the nose ever so gently, candy cane with red and green stripes swirling from tip to end and lights bouncing off the clear plastic wrapping. You get to the top of the tree, the angel is so much bigger up close than you ever imagined as you stand there gazing upon it in awe. You climb its garment finally embracing it and rest your head upon it's shoulder. Than it whispers "thank you", gently in your ear and softly returns a hug back humming a soothing medley and you fall asleep cradled in it's arms. Childhood is so full of wonder if only you allow your mind to still take you world's that only one with a humbled mentality can discover.
