To my Childhood
You left me a mess
I so much believed I was worthless
You left me with emptiness in my heart
I was left with none to offer me comfort
You embraced me with pain
Leaving marks with cane
You taught me how to mask pain with smile
Even when all I could taste was bile
You brought me good friends
Also left me with fiends
A poor child, all I craved was laughter
Yet you left me with bruises as an attire
You turned me into a wimp
Later I became an imp
Trouble upon trouble
Injuries that would double
Childhood, all I wish is to forget
You only caused me regret
sadness And fear
