Torture suffering hate and pain
I just can’t live through that again
I will not that old road carefully tread
I’ve tried before I’d rather be dead.
I happen to know just how this ends
With neither family nor good friends.
For 53 years I’ve walked this path
As I struggled through the aftermath.
How do I heal my childhood pain
When I just can’t live through that again?
