Choices

ust remember when I was a kid.
I didn't have it hard.
I had above and beyond most kids my age.
I didn't know what it was like to go without.
Then one day I got hit with a reality check stick.
Things got rough.
No work for Dad.
The scence was bleak,
Now I knew just what the other kids went through.
When I got older I remembered both sides.
Now it was up to me.
My choices determined my way of life.
Too many turns
Too many forks
Too many dividers to face
Drugs led me to an ugly place .
I was blessed to have a second chance.
I appreciate and am thankful each day
