The sparling of snow
and the twinkling of lights
the tree standing tall
and the fire burning bright
presents lay near
and yet so far
but it isn't the presents we crave
it's the people we love
we need them on Christmas
to show us that we belong
but maybe these are just random words
from a person who's been looking too long
at the sparkling snow
and the twinkling lights
and even the tree standing at a height
or the fire burning all too bright
