Clouded
Mists roll in between us now,
Where clear blue skies once met and bowed.
Words we spoke like morning light
Are wrapped in shadow, out of sight.
We walk the same worn ground each day,
But separate paths our hearts now stray.
What once was plain as summer rain
Is tangled in a foggy chain.
Questions hang like heavy clouds,
No answer cuts through where doubt shrouds.
We reach for warmth we used to know,
But cold air chills where love should grow.
Will winds blow clear to find our way?
Or will we drift and fade away?
The view ahead is hard to trace –
In this clouded time and space.
