Coffee is bittersweet with my moon

Coffee is bittersweet with my moon
Coffee is bittersweet with my moon—
Though its taste may sting on my tongue, every sip is sweet with you.

What would you do if I told you I have a thousand reasons to stay?
When you cling to the thought that moon and sun can never be as one,
No matter how she reaches, how she chases the sky…

I know better—they shine side by side, and their light makes the world whole.
So what would you do if I let night nestle next to day
In the shadowed world you see?

When you say love only drifts—here today, gone tomorrow—
I have a thousand reasons to yearn for you, to hold fast to us.
I don’t want to drink bitter brew alone again—
For even its sharp edge turns sweet when we’re together.

Why not set out as one? Explore every path,
Every rough road this world lays before us.

Loving you quietly from dusk to dawn,
From silver glow to golden rays—
Maybe then you’ll see how you make my world shine bright.

I’ll wait and wait for you, through every ache and hour.
I’ll bear all pain, run back to you again and again—
No matter how cold your stare may be.

Your embrace tells no lies—
Your heartbeat wraps me in warmth I know is mine.
I’ll brave every scorching trial
Until you take my hand, and we walk a thousand miles as one.

One day I’ll write a poem just for you, weave it into a song—
So you’ll hear love’s steady beat: not all hearts come and go.
I’ll stand by you through every season, storm or sun…
And drink our bittersweet coffee—
Bitter on the tongue, but sweet to my soul—with you, always...🌘✨01182026 ©LanZhan
