This evening reminded me of you, third time in that week.
Twas the coffee I brewed,
My moist fingers leaving soft imprints
On the balcony's silver bars.
And down the alley of memories,
I pick up your unfinished story.
The pieces umpteen, strewn untidily in every corner of this heart of mine.
You loved contemplating the horizon devour up the crimson sun
Sitting on this balcony with me,
And the wan moon shyed away at night,
Watching our love.
You remember right??
Or did you forget even these little moments
That weaved our story?
I don't blame you.
Even the Chrysanthemums we planted together have withered,
And the deep red rose plants-your favourite!
Have avowed not to bloom again.
The word Love has so long evaporated-
From our home, now I merely call a house.
Only your lost fragrance still lingers in the t-shirt you left behind.
It's still unwashed. You'll ask why?
I am petrified it would expunge the only physical memory I still have with you.
Your fragrance...
My coffee is still unsipped.
Your memories have taken away my thirst.
It's turned cold..
Your heart was colder....
