In times gone by, diseases ran amok
Spreading fast and striking us down like a rock
Families lost loved ones in droves
As illnesses ravaged bodies and homes
But today we've come so far
Our understanding of disease is at par
Science and technology lead the charge
As we combat illness and disease at large
We have vaccines and treatments that work
Antibiotics, antivirals, and more perks
We understand the human body inside out
And know how to treat what ails without a doubt
Our public health measures are advanced
We're prepared for pandemics in advance
We have better hygiene and sanitation
And knowledge to prevent disease transmission
So why do we still face illness and disease?
It's because we're human, and we have needs
We're always on the go, pushing limits and more
Our lifestyles, habits, and choices are key to explore
We still face new pathogens every day
That challenge our health in every way
But with knowledge and care, we can fight
And keep illness and disease out of sight
So let's keep learning, growing, and adapting
And keep up the fight against diseases attacking
We've come so far, let's keep going
Until we have a world with health glowing.
