COME BACK HOME

Come back home,

You've been away for too long.

You are needed back home;

It's been far too long since you've been gone.

Your mother has not been herself,

Your father's spirit is fading fast.

Depression has filled their hearts,

Their lifeboat is sinking, struggling to last.

You were their pride,

The reason for their hope,

But you’ve drifted into darkness,

Destroying yourself with every dose.

Come back home,

Please think this through.

I believe you’re not too far gone

To return to the life you once knew.

You were a church boy,

A rapper everyone admired.

Your lyrics brought salvation to many;

Please return to the dreams you once inspired.

Pastor Luke has been praying for you;

The congregation gathers every day,

Lifting you up in heartfelt prayer,

Hoping you'll find your way.

Though you've amassed great wealth,

It’s cut you off from those you love.

You’ve relied on fleeting highs

To escape the truth you’re running from.

We see you on the news, being arrested,

While the paparazzi tarnish your name.

“Your parents didn’t raise you well,” they say,

Labeling you as just another shame.

The same people who promoted your music

Are the ones who’ve led you astray,

Now lost in heavy drinking,

Getting high to fill the void each day.

But God still has a plan for you;

He has not given up the fight.

Though the devil offers you riches,

Remember, it’s all an illusion, not light.

He never plays fair;

What he gives only keeps you away

From the Almighty's embrace,

Leaving you empty, lost in dismay.

Home is where you truly belong;

God is waiting with open arms.

The church loves you as a dear brother,

Having you back would restore their charms.

So take a step back, reflect on your path,

Remember the joy that once filled your heart.

Come back home, let healing begin,

In love and faith, it’s never too late to restart.
