I have competed for love before and have lost that battle.
It breaks your heart to be second best and shook like a rattle.
Not once more will I sell my self dignity to a woman with other men.
Don't choose me because they didn't choose you, no love lost, I'll see you again.
It only hurts a little to admit that I'm a fool for love.
I always end up being the one to fall, when push comes to shove.
As pretty as you are and kind you may be.
I have been fooled once, even twice, but won't be three.
So I will just sit another day and wallow in solitude.
At least when I am alone, there is no one here to be rude.
A kind hearted fool who just wants to be loved.
Will not compete with those she puts above.
