They are so loud and clear,
But no one seems to care.
Do they echo on deaf ears?
The cries of mother nature.
I let her cries reverberate again and again
Through the shell of my mind.
With her sobs and sighs, I learnt of her pain.
Her story touched my heart.
I realised keeping her tears away
Wasn't trying to wipe out all from her face.
I realised keeping her tears away,
Was just starting from the end I could reach.
Now they have talked about its lovely sunsets,
It's splendour they've admired.
They've loved and praised smiling faces,
A lot they've said for our pride
The hope of innumerous souls it carries,
A pillar to many indeed it has become
Splendid and lovely truly it might seem,
It's more than beauty; we call it home.
