Life's crazy and I'm a complex bit**
Like D.I.D., except I control the switch
Well I do for at least most parts anyway
Medically speaking, it depends on the day
From experience, I'll share what I have learned
Maybe you'll get knowledge that I've already earned
I was nothing special, and totally fine with that
I've been a stripper, I've also been in combat
Motherhood taught me true appreciation
For all that I had, life is a celebration
But after I got sick, My life did a 180°
I'm not "Mom," or "Sweetheart,", I'm just the "sick lady"
Face to face with something I can't control
Feels like its violently ripping out my soul
It was then I realized I had to be a boss
Strap up to fight and pray it won't be a loss
Merely not crying sometimes envelopes the day
But for the kids to not see, its a small price to pay
Taking the easy way out was never a choice
At times you have to ignore that selfish inner voice
Can't leave him here without me, alone
Snap out of it when you enter the pain zone
I know God gives us nothing that we can't handle
My family and I pray and we'll light a candle
Its been 10 years, I'm not about to quit
Hold up, 10 years? God must think I'm the shit!!
