From the concrete between us, to the stale smell
of air, sudden life with famine, all discomfort and no
care. All left turns in this circle, leaves body total
defeat, from the concrete between us, one track
set on repeat.
From the phone calls between us, I'll settle for
paper instead, the injury of the dial tone, screaming
thoughts in my head. All forms of letters are absent,
persistent demons in the home, from the phone calls
between us, in my head alone is were I roam.
Now I'm collecting your writings, thoughtful words
of respect, sharing our lives to one another, minus
the obscene dialect. A vulnerable heart fully exposed,
to anguish settling down, now I'm collecting your all
writings, brighter days....to be found.
From the jail cell between us, only a few feet
away, cracked concrete of memories, left to relinquish
here one day. A dauntless of lonely, you helped
soften my stay, from the jail cell between us, a
tattered heart comes your way. ~VeepLee~
