This poem may seem dark at first, please read the message at the bottom After you read the poem itself, it will clear up the misunderstandings you may have :)
Yes Mr. Judge,
I plead guilty for a crime,
Which I did not commit,
Worry not, You'll understand in time.
Here's a riddle,
For the jury,
"Confessions come,
In a hurry,
When there's fun,
In a massacre flurry"
I plead guilty,
For the murder of people,
Not the people themselves,
They gave up their lives,
All around me,
Cause I spoke one truth . . .
"Their life was a lie,
All painted and covered,
In glossy makeup,
Yet their sins were discovered."
They were trying to gain,
Pleasure they couldn't afford,
Trying to win,
What they didn't look toward.
I spoke the truth,
To a blind youth,
I plead guilty for their deaths,
But not for ending their breaths.
All around me,
Broken people want to die,
Simply cause they know,
Their life is a lie . . .
So yes Mr. Judge,
I plead guilty,
For speaking the truth,
To an already dying youth.
. . .
Thank you for taking time to read that! The poem is about a man who pleads guilty for "Massacring" youth, but why he says that is cause he spoke truth to them, and they turned their lives around. It could be taken as a conversion to Christianity, but it could also be taken simply as, "He convinced the youth to change their lives, and basically let the old man "die", and be a better person in the future :)
If you still don't understand, I'd love to keep chatting with you on it!
