Confessions of depression

Guilt had tethered to this world,
a life of gloom and hatred twirled.
Born of man and of woman surely,
the incarnation of their love purely.
Unbeknownst young eyes would sadden,
and through darkness heart would blacken.
With sour taste from memories gaze,
that wretched flies feast on for days.
Until midnights blush disperses,
and dawn of day appears, incursive.
And yet I find this mind freely wanders,
in chasms of thought crafted by wrought ponders.
To glimpse a sight of crude reflection,
just what am I to life's conception?
My mind retires to truths now learned,
with woeful vacant cries unheard.
Lost adjacent to ones own plight,
in dead chill air and dead of night.
This tale is pensive, a face forgotten,
wants stay turgid in my heart rotten.
No mirror shall forever be,
the knowledge through the soul of me.
No longer will another see,
eyes of a man truly set free.
